Description
Here is a signature depiction of a Dragon born on high winds and swirling in its own dance. It is carved from Boxwood, which is a dense material that permits careful, intricate detail. The large oval Bronzite stone beads used in the necklace may have been created for the Dragon; the stone is said to encourage vigorous activity. Continuing in the same rich brown tones are Water Buffalo Horn carved with a slight twisting pattern and Soochow Jade beads cut as cornerless cubes. Chinese knots add one one more texture in reminiscence of the Dragon’s flowing mane. Some believe that the Dragon originally emerged out of a giant storm. All know it as the guardian of the mansions of the Gods, and believe that its magic properties can bring good or evil.
